If you are a consumer you may only sign up to our Membership Services from our Website if you are at least 16 years old. As a consumer, you have legal rights in relation to Services not carried out with reasonable skill and care, or if not as described. Advice about your legal rights is available from your local Citizens' Advice Bureau or Trading Standards office. Nothing in these Terms will affect these legal rights.
If you are a business user, you may from time to time wish to purchase corporate member services, including but not limited to our corporate membership and advertising services and our corporate licences (each a “Corporate Service”). Our Corporate Services are subject to our Corporate Membership Terms of Sale.
Our Website pages will guide you through the steps you need to take to register for our Membership Services. Please take the time to read and check your registration details at each stage of the process.
After you successfully register for our Membership Services, you will receive an e-mail from us acknowledging that we have received your registration and confirming that your membership profile is active and has been verified and accepted by us (“Membership Confirmation”). Your membership will only be activated when we send you the Membership Confirmation.
If you choose to submit your CV through our Website in order to apply for a job, your CV will be sent directly to the job advertiser. While we offer members the ability to apply for jobs directly through the site including attaching a CV and additional documentation, we have no control over the external transmission of emails, or how emails are received by the recipient's IT system, and therefore cannot guarantee receipt. You should request or receive a separate direct acknowledgement from the job advertiser.
Business users who are looking to recruit for a job role or services contract may have access to any CV you have uploaded unless you have expressly restricted access to your CV using your privacy settings. You can access your privacy settings by logging onto your account and restricting access to your CV.
We may revise these Terms as they apply to your order from time to time to reflect changes in relevant laws and regulatory requirements and our business practices and procedures, including the technologies and payment methods we use.
If we have to revise these Terms as they apply to your order, we will contact you to give you reasonable advance notice of the changes. We may ask you to accept our revised Terms the next time you log onto your membership account and will also update the Terms on our Website.
If you are a consumer we will let you know how to delete (i.e. cancel) your membership if you are not happy with the changes. If you opt to delete your Membership Services under this clause 6, your account will be cancelled and deleted.
